We serve areas affected by natural disasters and/or extreme poverty. We welcome your support by donating your time and/or by making monetary contributions.

What is QRC?
About QRC
Quiescere Resource Center (QRC) was founded in August 13, 1998. In 2003, it officially received its non-profit, 501c3 tax exemption designation to serve the community as an educational and charitable nonprofit organization to support the immigrant residents of Long Island and the surrounding areas.
Quiescere, pronounced (key-s-air) is Latin meaning to be at ease. QRC's vision is that the individuals and families they serve receive the resources and support needed to empower themselves and their children to enable a spirit of independence and sustainability despite the challenges they may face.
Where We Are Now
Quiescere Resource Center was initially formed to offer community based classes to serve a a quickly growing immigrant population in Westbury, NY.
In 2010, after Haiti experienced its first devastating earthquake, QRC spearheaded the Survival Kit Drive for Haiti. With the help of our partners, and over 2,400 volunteers domestically and internationally, over 39,000 hygiene kits were distributed women and children affected by natural disasters and extreme poverty. Survival kits have been distributed to areas in Haiti, the Philippines, Honduras, St. Lucia, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, Houston, TX, and NY Tri-State area.
Our newest initiative is I am a Rose: Blossoming to Be the Me Within. I am a Rose is a coming of age initiative to support girls as they physically transition to the journey of womanhood.
